Shanrong Tuo

As a concert violinist, ShanRong Tuo gives recitals and appears as a soloist frequently in the USA, Singapore, Israel and China. She has performed in venues such as Carnegie Hall, Kennedy center, Esplanade Music Hall (Singapore),Victoria Music Hall (Singapore), the Great Hall (Franz List Academy, Hungary), and Xi’an Concert Hall (China). She has appeared as the soloist playing Vivaldi’s "Winter" with CMU Philharmonic in 2013 CMU Annual Holiday Concert at Carnegie Music Hall, Pittsburgh, which was broadcasted on WQED. as an active chamber musician, she has performed with a wide range of artists, including Jennifer Frautschi and members of the Emerson String Quartet at Stony Brook University’s Chamber music festivals, Starry Nights concert series, and Art of Violin series. 
Ms. Tuo holds a Doctorate of Musical Arts Degree in Violin performance from Stony Brook University, where she studied with Ms. Jennifer Frautschi. Mr. Philip Setzer, and Mr. Hagai Shaham. She is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, School of Music, as a full scholarship recipient, where she earned her Master’s degree and Artist Certificate in violin performance and orchestra studies under the instruction of Mr. Cyrus Forough, a pupil of legendary violinist David Oistrakh. Prior to her studies in the USA, Ms. Tuo completed her undergraduate studies art the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music in Singapore, under the tutelage of Mr. Alexander Souptel, the former concertmaster of the Singapore Symphony Orchestra.
